Promoted to Glory

I am sure that my Dad is hearing these words: Well Done My Good And Faithful Servant-Well Done. My dad is no longer in pain and is in the presence of GOD rejoicing in the treasures of Heaven. He was Promoted to Glory at 1:58 PM today as my Aunt Jo and His wife Kate were by his side. He was well taken care of and very much LOVED. Good-bye Daddy! I love you!

Cub Scout Popcrn

Our Cub Scout Pack has only 20 bags of the Chocolatey Triple Delight left from the fall popcorn sale.  

It is $10 per bag and if you check out my blog you will see that we are pre-ordering WA State Honey.  

This helps the kids go to day camp and summer sleep away camp.  

Mr. H has grown so much because of the Cub Scout Program.  PM me if you want some!  I will cover shipping!

3/16 Pre-Orders for Cub Scout Honey From Harrison

Hey Guys! Our Cub Scout Pack needs to put in our pre-orders for our Cub Scout Honey Fundraiser. 

Unfortunately the BBQ Sauce that everyone is asking me about is no longer available from the manufacturer. 


I need a count by Sunday to turn in our pre-order however we will have some to sell that is not spoken for.  Money is not due to us until the Honey Tasting Party on April 14th, 2013.  If you do not live in Spokane I will cover your shipping costs to you.

We have the have the following:

We have wild flower honey bears ($11), 
huckleberry honey bears ($11), 
honey mustard ($11), 
huckleberry gift set-1 creamed jar and a 1 liquid jar ($22),
creamed honey spreads ( $11 each): cinnamon, raspberry, huckleberry, and wildflower.

Give me an idea of what you want so that our Pack orders enough of your favorite flavors. 

I'd hate to have Harrison have to tell you that we are out of that one. 

As always orders include a handmade cub scout thank you tag, hand stamped, colored and signed by Harrison.

3/3 My Wedding Camera

Have you ever been surfing around the web and came across a project that has not left your mind?  I did when I saw, Scrappinology on YouTube's camera she made from a balsa box from Micheal's   I followed her directions for the lens and the scoring it was a fun easy project.  I will have some kits soon!  See you tomorrow for our weekly Ustream Show.  Enjoy!

2/25 Sorry No Ustream Tonight

So there will not be a Ustream Show tonight.  I know many are disappointed however we have to remember why we are creative and what purpose it serves.

 I do my weekly Ustream Show on nights when Mr. H goes to Cub Scouts because its quiet in my house and I do not think that it takes away from my family time.  (Ok, I am on the computer a bit much but we all are in our house.)

I was so excited when it was shared on Laura's Show and lots were asking when I was on.  However this week while my plan was to finish the album it is important for me to be at this event with my family.  I will be finishing up the album next week.  Then we will do a couple of layouts and move to a mini album using the Buzz and Bumble Close To My Heart Paper Collection.  So excited...it has bees and dragonflies!

Here is a photo of Mr. H auction Cake and a layout that finally has photos.  The pre-ordered layouts will be ready to mail tomorrow afternoon to those who are interested.  Paypal notices will go out too!  Enjoy your evening!

What is a Tussy Mussy?

History:   During the English Gregorian period (1714--1760), pestilence was rampant and indoor plumbing was not. Elegant ladies would often carry small bouquets of fragrant herbs and flowers to fend off noxious odors. Also known as nosegays, tussy mussies remained popular through the Victorian era.

 

Significance: Tussy mussies came to be used as gifts, especially when a suitor would call on a young lady. Every flower had a meaning, and ladies referred to a book called the "Tussy Dictionary" to decipher the message.

Features:  A traditional Victorian style tussy mussy is arranged with a central flower surrounded by one or two rings of flowers in contrasting colors. The stems are tied with ribbon or held in an ornate silver cone-shaped holder, which is also commonly referred to as a tussy mussy.

Rules:

1.      You must create a Tussy Mussy (The Cone Shaped Holder) which can be a recycled or altered item or made from heavy weight cardstock.  Please make sure it is sturdy enough to house the flowers and able to be hung from ribbon or wire without damage.

2.      Handmade or Semi-handmade Flowers, leaves and fillers should fill the Tussy Mussy trying to use the language of flowers to convey a hidden message to your swap partner.

3.      Create a handmade reveal card with your name and Ustream/Blog information.

4.      Partners will be assigned on Feb 18^th, 2013 on my weekly Ustream Show.  I plan on offering some flower styles and meanings at that class.

5.      You will be shipping directly to your swap partner.  You are required to obtain delivery confirmation so that all packages can be tracked.

6.      We will have a reveal day on March 18^th, 2013 where each participate is encourage to make a short video or Ustream show to see the opening of the package.  We love to see real life.  If you are unable to do a video that is ok, you can still participate but please send us photos, post on facebook, or your blog.

January 2013 Ustream Class Schedule

Hi everyone!

As we start the new year I am excited to be taking on Scrapbook layouts at least 3 of the 4 or 5 weeks of the month on my weekly Ustream Show.  This month we will be starting with easy one page layouts on 01/07/13 and two pages layouts on 01/14/13 and then an interactive two page layout on 01/21/13. I have limited kits and will be working on different papers from what is shown here however the techniques and the layouts will be the same.

Let me know if you are interested in a kit the prices are $5.00 for a one page layout kit, $7 for a two page layout kit, and $10.50 for a interactive two page layout.  Shipping will be billed separately at actual cost.  Paypal only and I will be more than happy to ship all kits together to save on postage,

12/26 OH MY! Another Whole Month! Where did the time go?

I have been very busy creating over on my Ustream Channel.  Christmas this year was great with handmade gifts!  I have a few more to give then I can post all of the projects.  Here are few photos of things that I have created recently!  After the first of the year I will be offering a 12X12 scrapbook layout class each week on my Ustream Show so that I can scrapbook the majority of the photos that I took this past year!  Need to get the scrapbooks done for Mr. H!
